We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your perspectives. Your feedback helps us reflect on what is working well and guides how we continue to grow and strengthen our school community.



Below is a summary of what we heard from 74 family responses and how we plan to work together moving forward.



 

School Safety & Security

 

What We Heard: The overwhelming majority of families report that their child feels safe at school, with over half indicating very safe and nearly all others reporting safe.

 

What We’re Doing: 

  • Continuing to maintain a strong and visible safety presence throughout the school day.
  • Continuing to listen closely to family concerns to ensure all students and families feel secure.



 

Bullying & Conflict Resolution

 

What We Heard: Most families feel the school addresses bullying and student conflicts effectively or very effectively, while a small number would like to see continued improvement in consistency.

 

What We’re Doing:

  • Strengthening schoolwide approaches to conflict resolution and restorative practices.
  • Reinforcing clear communication with families around how concerns are addressed.



 

Behavior Expectations

 

What We Heard: Families report that expectations for student behavior are communicated very well or well.

 

What We’re Doing:

  • Continuing clear, consistent schoolwide behavior expectations.
  • Partnering with families to reinforce expectations at home and school.



 

Welcoming, Inclusive & Secure Environment

 

What We Heard: A strong majority of families feel the school environment is welcoming, inclusive, and secure for students, families, and visitors.

 

What We’re Doing:

Continuing to foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture.

Expanding family engagement opportunities and school events.



 

Communication with Families

 

What We Heard: Most families feel very well informed about updates, events, and their child’s progress, and report that school leaders and staff are approachable and responsive.

 

What We’re Doing:

  • Continuing timely communication through multiple platforms.
  • Increasing opportunities for in-person conversations and family meetings.



 

Diversity & Cultural Celebration

 

What We Heard: Families overwhelmingly feel the school celebrates diversity and values different cultures and backgrounds.

 

What We’re Doing:

  • Continuing to highlight and celebrate the rich diversity of our community.
  • Expanding culturally responsive practices and family-centered events.



 

Instructional Quality & Academic Support

 

What We Heard: Families report high satisfaction with the quality of instruction and feel the school meets their child’s academic needs well. Many families also report that their children are challenged and engaged in learning.

 

What We’re Doing:

  • Continuing to monitor student progress to inform instruction and intervention.
  • Strengthening small-group instruction and enrichment opportunities.



 

Programs & Learning Resources

 

What We Heard: Families view afterschool programs, tutoring, and ENL supports as effective overall, with interest in continued growth. 

 

What We’re Doing:

  • Continuing to strengthen academic and enrichment programs.
  • Ensuring equitable access to resources for all students as we explore additional opportunities and partnerships to support student learning.



 

Social & Emotional Learning (SEL)

 

What We Heard:  Families feel the school supports students’ social and emotional development very well.

 

What We’re Doing:

  • Continuing strong SEL practices in classrooms and across the school.
  • Offering opportunities that promote confidence, empathy, and relationship-building.
  • Partnering with families to support students’ well-being.



 

Teacher, Staff & Leadership Relationships

 

What We Heard: Families deeply value the professionalism, care, and responsiveness of our teachers, staff, and school leadership, and report a positive and supportive school culture.

 

What We’re Doing:

  • Continuing to prioritize strong relationships with families.
  • Supporting ongoing professional growth for staff.
  • Maintaining a school culture rooted in trust, care, and collaboration.
