Principal's Message

Dear Elm Tree Elementary School Community,

It is an honor to introduce myself as principal of Elm Tree Elementary School as I continue to have the opportunity to serve this extraordinary school community. We have dedicated, talented members committed to doing what is in the best interest of our students and families. We continue to put students first at Elm Tree Elementary School and work diligently to ensure their success.  

My professional background is rooted in education, teaching, learning, and leadership.  For the past eighteen years, I have worked in public education as a principal, assistant principal, coach, mentor, and lead teacher.  This is my eleventh year serving the community of Corona and throughout my years of service, I have always had the pleasure of serving in schools, with a strong emphasis on supporting the whole child. It is my goal to continue this tradition.

I believe in creating a school culture with a focus on supporting both the social-emotional and academic development of students.  In accepting the role as the principal, I carry on the commitment to serve as a role model and to demonstrate for my students that one’s character and intellect are reflected in the choices we make and the very choices we make will surely impact our future. 

I strongly believe that doing what is best for children and their future, is the promise one vows to keep upon joining this noble profession, thus I hold myself and my staff accountable for keeping that promise. Through the dedication of our school staff, the support of our parents, and the partnerships we create within our community, our students will leave us as culturally and linguistically diverse individuals that are prepared for their future. We continue to believe that planning for success in the future means working together today.

I look forward to partnering with all of you to provide our students with guidance and support throughout their educational experience with us. I am elated to know that I continue to serve a school community that is equipped with great systems and structures for this most important work. It is my goal to continue to improve and strive for excellence as that is what our students and community deserve.
