This month, we honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day and focus on our SEL Monthly Focus: Tolerance, with a CARES Virtue of Assertiveness guiding our work with students and families.
Our P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary January 2026 School Calendar includes important dates and school-wide events to help families plan ahead. Please note the following school closures: January 1–2 for Winter Recess and Monday, January 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students will return to school on Monday, January 5.

Your feedback helps us reflect on what is working well and guides how we continue to grow and strengthen our school community. Elm Tree families are invited to join cast members from Dorrance Dance’s The Nutcracker Suite for a fun, all-levels tap and vernacular jazz class! These free sessions are open to kids and adults of all ages, no experience or tap shoes required. Come swing into the holidays and enjoy an engaging arts experience with your family!

P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary School warmly welcomes families to celebrate the season at our Seasonal Concert on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in our school’s auditorium.
Students across all grade levels will be performing throughout the morning and early afternoon. We look forward to sharing joyful music and showcasing the talents of our Elm Tree scholars.
