Dear Elm Tree Families,

Please note that there are no before and after school programs on Friday, February 13 (Day Before Mid Winter Recess).

We open our doors everyday to all students at 7:30 am for breakfast and school dismissal is at 2:20 pm.

P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary School invites families to join our school leaders for our P.S. 211 Town Hall Meeting (February 2026), which will be held virtually via the ZOOM platform on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 beginning at 9:00 AM.

Our Schools. Our Future: Conversations with the Chancellor is a citywide engagement series bringing students, families, educators, staff, and community partners together for honest dialogue about where our schools are today and where we must go next.

All Tuesday sessions will run from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. All Saturday sessions will run from 10:30am – 12: 00pm. Please see to the flyer for more information and refer to the Our Schools. Our Future: Conversations with the Chancellor webpage for the full schedule of events.

February 2026 is Here at P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary! 🌳
February 2026 is here, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting and meaningful month at P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary! As we celebrate Black History Month, our community will also take part in family workshops, class trips, PTA events, and important schoolwide activities.

Elm Tree Elementary is excited to celebrate Kindness Over Bullies Spirit Week from February 9–13! Each day, students are invited to participate in fun spirit days that promote friendship, respect, school pride, and cultural diversity—from Superhero Day and Twin Day to Culture Day and Red Day in honor of Lunar New Year.

We encourage all students to join in, show their school spirit, and help create a positive, inclusive school community. Let’s stand together and choose kindness—every day—at P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary School! 🌳💚

Elm Tree Elementary School invites families to join us for Session III of our Parent Leadership in Action Workshop Series. This session centers on the powerful role families play as visionaries and partners in shaping strong school communities.

Together, we will reflect on how family leadership strengthens communication, collaboration, and student success—because when families lead, schools listen, and when schools listen, students thrive.

Elm Tree invites you to explore a range of engaging, hands‑on activities you can use at home to strengthen math skills and make learning feel fun and interactive for your students.

Sign up for free entry level conversational skills English classes in-person on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:20- 4:20pm from February 4 through May 7. 

Elm Tree teacher will be teaching how to read, write, speak, and listen in English to help you support your child at-home and in-school.

As we reach the midpoint of the school year, we want to thank our families for their continued partnership and support. Our January 2026 Mid-Year Family Letter highlights important reminders related to school safety, daily schedules, health guidelines, attendance expectations, and instructional practices to ensure a safe, supportive, and successful learning environment for all students.
