July 16th, 2024 - P.S. 211 School Uniform Policy Reminder to All Parents for the 2024-2025 School Year

Dear families and staff of P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary School,

We hope you are all enjoying your summer and are taking some time to relax before the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year! 

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we will continue our implementation of our school-wide mandatory school uniform policy during the 2024-2025 school year.

During the early stages of the 2022-2023 school year our school held a vote with all of our school's parents to see whether or not they would be interested in implementing a mandatory school uniform policy for all of our students and over 95% of our parents voted "YES"!

We strongly believe that the decision to continue the implementation of our school’s uniform policy will support a safe and nurturing learning environment for all of our students here at Elm Tree Elementary School. 

In addition, this will allow our students to show their school pride by wearing our school colors each and every day. It also alleviates the financial pressure on parents to provide their children with the latest fashion trends.

Starting September 5th, 2024 school uniforms will be mandatory for all students and should be worn every school day. 

The school uniform consists of a white or dark green shirt and khaki pants while the gym uniform consists of a dark green or gray sweatshirt and sweatpants.

Our parents can now purchase official Elm Tree Elementary school uniforms on our Elm Tree Elementary School Online Merch Store which can be accessed using the link above or through our school’s website. 

We strongly encourage our parents to purchase the school uniform through our Elm Tree Elementary School Online Merch Store, however, parents also have the option to purchase generic uniforms through retailers such as Target, Youngworld, Walmart or even Amazon. 

We also have an inventory of “gently” used school uniforms so please reach out to Ms. Gisella Catarine, our school’s Parent Coordinator, at 929-260-0084 or our school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for more information.

Also, if you have any extra uniforms and would like to donate them, our school will have a donation box near the school’s main entrance. Donations will be accepted during the morning and during afternoon dismissal. Please contact our school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for more information.

Parents: we would like your help in enforcing the school uniform with our students so let’s work together as a community and help enforce the school dress code.
