Families will explore fun and simple ways to support reading at home, with tips on reading together and weaving literacy into daily routines to build confident readers.

Celebrate the season with us on the turf for music, photos, and fall fun during our annual Fall Festival! Families are invited to join their child’s class for this festive event filled with laughter, music, and community spirit.

Each class will:
🎃 Take a class picture
🍂 Enjoy time on the turf with music and family
🍭 Visit the PTA sale for treats and goodies

Students are encouraged to wear their costumes (no masks, please!) and get ready for a morning of fall excitement and school pride.

Join us at P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary in the Gymatorium at 8:30 a.m. for an engaging session focused on promoting respect and safety for all students.

Families will learn how to identify the signs of bullying, explore strategies to prevent and address it, and discover multiple ways to report concerns and seek support. The session will also cover cyberbullying, digital citizenship, and tips for keeping kids safe online.

This month, we continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (through Oct. 15) and focus on our SEL theme: Respect. Our P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary October 2025 School Calendar features engaging events like Parent Workshops, a Family Movie Night, and Fire Safety Week.

Join the 2025 FDNY for their Open Houses



On Saturday October 18th or Sunday October 19th more than 200 Firehouses and EMS locations will open their doors to the public from 11:00am to 1:00pm or from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for the 2025 FDNY Open House.



Firefighters, EMTs and paramedics will be educating the public about fire and life safety, conducting demonstrations, discussing careers within the Department, and offering tours of FDNY Engines, Ladder Trucks and EMS Stations.

Families: Please complete this form if you are interested in having your child attend one of P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary School's Before-School and/or After-School Programs during Fall 2025.

The Before/After-School Program will begin on Tuesday October 14, 2025 (10/14/2025) and end on January 30th, 2026 (01/30/2026).

Please be advised that spots are limited and will be assigned in a first-come/first-served basis!

Please select your top three choices so that we can accommodate you as best as we can with assigning your child with one of the programs that you show interest in.
