P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary School invites families to attend Parent Leadership in Action: Session II, a continuation of our Parent Leadership Workshop series focused on empowering families as partners and leaders in our school community.

This session, “Parents as Visionaries,” centers on the belief that when families lead, schools listen—and when schools listen, students thrive. Families will engage in meaningful conversation, reflection, and collaboration around leadership and advocacy.

This month, we honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day and focus on our SEL Monthly Focus: Tolerance, with a CARES Virtue of Assertiveness guiding our work with students and families.
Our P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary January 2026 School Calendar includes important dates and school-wide events to help families plan ahead. Please note the following school closures: January 1–2 for Winter Recess and Monday, January 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students will return to school on Monday, January 5.

Families who would like their child’s photo retaken should return the original picture package on Picture Retake Day. Students will only be photographed if the original package is returned.
