Dear Elm Tree Families,

Join us for our remote **Evening Remote Parent-Teacher Conferences** on **May 7, 2026, from 4:30–7:30 PM** via Zoom.

Families of incoming students are invited to attend one of two grade-level sessions (4:30 PM or 6:30 PM) to learn about expectations for the upcoming school year, including academics, routines, and ways to support your child over the summer.

Please note: All students are dismissed at 2:20 PM! Before-school programs will run as scheduled, and All after-school programs are CANCELED!

We invite all families to join us for an engaging and empowering Parent Workshop focused on Parent Leadership in Action. This session will highlight the important role families play as visionaries in shaping our school community.

Students and families from PS13, PS16, PS19, PS110, PS 211, PS307, CASA, and IS61 will come together to walk through Corona in a colorful parade, stopping at each school along the route. The event will end with a fun-filled festival featuring music, food, and games as we celebrate pride, inclusion, and community spirit.

There will be no after-school programs on Thursday, May 7, 2026, due to our Remote Parent-Teacher Conferences: Meet the Teacher for the Next School Year. All students will be dismissed at 2:20 PM. Morning programs WILL be in session as scheduled on May 7, 2026.

We are excited to invite you to our In-Person Town Hall Meeting taking place on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 at 9:00 AM. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect directly with our school leadership team, stay informed, and be an active part of our school community.

We are excited to celebrate Career Spirit Week at P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary School! Throughout the week of May 18th–May 22nd, students and staff are invited to participate in themed dress-up days that highlight different careers and inspire students to think about their future goals.

Our P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary May 2026 School Calendar includes important dates and school-wide events to help families plan ahead. Highlights include NYSESLAT testing for all grades (May 4–8), Staff Appreciation Week, Wellness Week, and Career Week. Families are also invited to join us for multiple Parent Leadership Workshops, a Town Hall Meeting (May 13 at 9:00 AM, in person), and a PTC Virtual Meeting (May 7).

This session, Parents as Visionaries, focuses on empowering families as leaders within our school community. Together, we will explore how strong family voice and partnership can positively impact student success. As we believe: “When families lead, schools listen. When schools listen, students thrive.”
