Parents: P.S. 211 Elm Tree Phone App Parent Account Setup

The purpose of this guide is to guide our parents through the process of downloading our P.S. 211 Elm Tree phone application, walking them through the process of creating their accounts and providing them with an overview of the various features that the app offers.

The main purpose of the P.S. 211 Elm Tree phone application is to provide daily news/updates to parents while also providing real-time communication between parents and school staff (works as any other instant messaging application such as Facebook Messenger).

In order to download the P.S. 211 Elm Tree phone application please visit your phone’s app store and search for “P.S. 211 Elm Tree”, click on one of the links below (works if you’re viewing this guide on your phone) or scan one of the QR codes below (based on which app store your phone supports):

2. Once the app is downloaded and installed on your phone please open/access it so that you can begin to create your account (which will be linked to your child’s information based on the information that you provide).

3. Once you open up the P.S. 211 Elm Tree app you should be able to see a screen like this which will allow you to create your own account by clicking on the button that indicates “Register”:

4. Next, please click on the button that indicates “Parent”:

5. Next, you will have to enter a valid “Email Address” and create your “Password” (please be advised that you will have to write the password twice as a form of confirmation - also please know that you can click on the “eye” icon to view the password that you entered in clear text):

6. Once all of this information is entered please click on the “Next” button to move on to the next section which is the “Basic Information” section. Here you will have to enter your (the parent/guardian) “First Name” and your “Last Name”:

7. Once all of this information is entered please click on the “Next” button to move on to the next section which is the “Add Students” section. Here is where you will have to enter your child’s demographic information: “First Name”, “Last Name”, “Student ID” (please reach out to your teacher, our Pupil Accounting Secretary (Lucy Fereirra) or our Parent Coordinator (Gisella Catarine) if you need assistance with obtaining your child’s ID number) and your “Relationship to the Student” (please be advised that you can add additional children by clicking on the “+ Add Student” button):

8. Once all of this information is entered please click on the “Register” button to complete the registration process and create your account.

9. Congratulations! You have successfully registered and created your account for our P.S. 211 Elm Tree phone application!

Not all families can receive phone calls or text messages
Not all families are on Social Media
Sometimes the website can be a little difficult to view on a mobile device such as a smartphone due to the small screen size

Class and group conversations between our parents and staff (works just like other instant messaging applications such as Facebook Messenger, What’sApp, etc.)
