NYC School Survey – February 9 through April 4

Elm Tree Elementary School (PS 211) invites all families to participate in the NYC School Survey, which begins February 9 and ends April 4.

Your voice matters. The survey provides valuable feedback that helps our school improve programs, strengthen instruction, and better support our students and families. The results give administration, teachers, and staff a clear understanding of what is working well and where we can continue to grow.

Please complete the survey and return it to school with your child. If you complete the survey online, kindly send the confirmation receipt with your child.

🍪🎉 February 24 &25 Bake Sale

Join us for our PTA February Bake Sale during lunch periods on February 24 & 25!

Students will be able to purchase fun school supplies like pens, pencils, notebooks, and accessories, along with delicious treats including cupcakes, cookies, and other sweet snacks.

This fundraiser will help us purchase a popcorn machine to use at future school events — bringing even more fun to our school community!

February 25. 2026 - Parent Leadership in Action: Session III – Parents as Visionaries

Elm Tree Elementary School invites families to join us for Session III of our Parent Leadership in Action Workshop Series. This session centers on the powerful role families play as visionaries and partners in shaping strong school communities.

Together, we will reflect on how family leadership strengthens communication, collaboration, and student success—because when families lead, schools listen, and when schools listen, students thrive.

Parents Teacher Conference – March 5, 2026

Elm Tree Elementary (PS 211) will host its Virtual Parents Teacher Conference on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
This will be a Half Day for Students, with dismissal at 11:20 a.m.
Parent-teacher conferences are a valuable opportunity to speak directly with your child’s teacher and learn more about your child’s academic progress and growth.

Conference Session Times:
🕐 Afternoon Sessions: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
🌙 Evening Sessions: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Beginning the week of February 10, Chancellor Kamar H. Samuels Hosting: Our Schools. Our Future: Conversations with the Chancellor

Our Schools. Our Future: Conversations with the Chancellor is a citywide engagement series bringing students, families, educators, staff, and community partners together for honest dialogue about where our schools are today and where we must go next.

All Tuesday sessions will run from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. All Saturday sessions will run from 10:30am – 12: 00pm. Please see to the flyer for more information and refer to the Our Schools. Our Future: Conversations with the Chancellor webpage for the full schedule of events.
