Dear families and staff of P.S. 211 Elm Tree Elementary School,

We hope you are all enjoying your summer!

We would like to take this opportunity to announce that we have two brand new Interim Acting Assistant Principals joining our Elm Tree Family in the upcoming school year.

It is our pleasure to introduce you to Ms. Jennifer Erichsen and Ms. Michelle Pinargote who will be joining us in the beginning of the brand new school year in September 2023

Please see below to view their Introductory Letter from our school’s Principal, Kristen Niven, and to learn more about them.

Dear Elm Tree Families,

We are elated to begin our school year with Interim Acting Assistant Principals Jennifer Erichsen and Michelle Pinargote.   Both Ms. Erichsen and Ms. Pinargote will join our school's leadership team with administrative responsibilities focused on supervising and supporting our school community.

Ms. Erichsen and Ms. Pinargote will be replacing Ms. Herman and Mr. McLaughlin who both transitioned into other administrative roles.   Both Ms. Erichsen and Ms. Pinargote rose as the top candidates above a highly competitive group of professional educators, and we are thrilled they have accepted our offer.

Elm Tree Elementary was looking for leaders who are highly effective at improving teaching and learning and focused on the growth of students and staff. We also value a leader who easily connects with parents, students and staff, and someone who is a keen listener and problem solver. Throughout the interview process, both Ms. Erichsen and Ms. Pinargote demonstrated energy and passion to assist Elm Tree Elementary continue its pursuit of being one of the best schools in the city.

Ms. Erichsen brings many strengths to the Elm Tree Elementary Leadership team.  Ms. Erichsen joins us from the PS 89 Jose Peralta School and comes with seven plus years of experience and as a lifelong learner and educational leader, she strives to seek out new challenges and learning experiences to better serve her school community.   This mindset has allowed her the chance to thrive in a variety of educational settings, each of which informed and developed her leadership skills. She continues to seek further opportunities to better serve students and the larger communities here in Corona and at Elm Tree.  Ms. Erichsen has a strong background in ESL/MLL education and has a bilingual skillset that is able to support our Mandarin speakers.

Ms. Pinargote brings many strengths to the Elm Tree Elementary Leadership team.  Ms. Pinargote joins us from the Corona Arts & Sciences Academy and comes with seven plus years of experience and is looking forward to building and supporting relationships with our staff, students and families within the Elm Tree Community and continuing to serve our local area of Corona.  Her involvement both inside and outside of the classroom highlights the commitment she has to all aspects of the student learning process and how to best meet the needs of their families as well. Ms. Pinargote has a strong background in curriculum development and instructional practices that best services ENL/MLL students and has a bilingual skillset that is able to support our Spanish speakers.

Both Ms. Erichsen and Ms. Pinargote come with backgrounds that support the social-emotional and culturally responsive learning environments that Elm Tree Elementary supports and cultivates.

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Erichsen and Ms. Pinargote to our Elm Tree School staff and community.
